LED Lightbulbs

As a church, we have given away more than 1,500 LED lightbulbs to our community. By doing so we hope to model love of creation, neighbor and God. Contact kbates@wnccumc.net to find out how to replicate this project in your community.

Hiking Group

Each Sunday during the summer, we go hiking as group. Hiking cultivates a sense of awe and wonder for creation and the Creator. You're invited to join our hikes!

Energy Savers Network

As a way of loving our neighbors and caring for the earth, we have partnered with the Energy Savers Network to do free weatherization and energy saving work in homes throughout our community. Email kbates@wnccumc.net to join our volunteers or to sign up for an in-home audit.

Classes on Creation Care

We have offered classes on recycling, composting, canning, food and faith, "going green", and theological reflection on the need to care for God’s creation. Check back soon to see upcoming classes.
